Privacy Policy — Starfield Memory

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Starfield Memory ("the app", "we") is a single-player memory and perception game with an optional online leaderboard and an optional local Wi-Fi multiplayer mode. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and how you can control it.

1. Summary

2. What information is collected, and why

2.1 Always (whether or not you sign in)

2.2 Only if you sign in with Apple or Google

2.3 During local Wi-Fi multiplayer (Versus mode)

Versus connects two devices on the same local Wi-Fi network via a peer-to-peer WebSocket. The only information exchanged between players is the display name you choose and gameplay events (taps, scores). Nothing is sent to any external server, and nothing is retained after the match ends.

On iOS, ad tracking is controlled by Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.

6. Children

The app is rated suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through sign-in, please contact us at contact@fluttech.com and we will delete the account and associated data.

8. Data retention

Local game state is kept on your device until you delete the app or reset its data. Cloud-stored data (Firebase Auth record, private user document, leaderboard rows) is retained while your account is active and removed within 30 days of a deletion request.

9. International transfers

Our Firebase project is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt region). Some Google sub-processors may process data in other regions; see the Google privacy policy linked above for details.

10. Changes to this policy
