These terms govern your use of the Scoreminator mobile application ("the app"), published by Fluttech ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Scoreminator is a score-keeping utility for board, card and darts games played in the real world. It does not contain the games themselves: you play with your own physical cards, dice, board or dartboard, and the app records the scores, the results and the statistics that follow from them.
Scoreminator is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by the publishers or trademark owners of any game it can keep score for. Where the app names a game, it does so only to identify which set of scoring rules you are choosing; several scoring modes are deliberately listed under generic descriptive names rather than under a brand. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for your own private, non-commercial score keeping. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or commercially exploit the app, and you may not reverse-engineer or decompile it except where applicable law expressly allows it.
You can use the app without signing in. An anonymous account is created for you so that your scores can be backed up (see the Privacy Policy). If you want to create or join a group, you sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account.
A group is a shared table you run with other people. When you use it:
When using Scoreminator you agree not to:
We may restrict or terminate access that breaches these rules.
The app is free and supported by ads, as described in the Privacy Policy. An optional rewarded video may be offered before sharing or watching a live scoreboard; watching one is never required to keep score, and no feature is withheld if an ad cannot be shown. You agree not to interfere with the display of ads.
Scoring rules are implemented with care to match commonly published rules and popular variants, and many of them are configurable because tables differ. Even so, we do not guarantee error-free calculation, and the app cannot know which house rule you agreed on before the game. The scoreboard at your table is always yours to verify. Scoreminator settles no disputes and is not an authority on the rules of any game.
Your players and games are stored on your device and, when the app is online, in your account (see the Privacy Policy). Cloud backup is a convenience, not a guarantee: keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose, using Settings → Backup & restore. We cannot recover data that was never synced — for example from a device lost while offline, or after an account deletion, which is irreversible by design.
The app and its online features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change or discontinue features, and cloud features may be interrupted for maintenance or by circumstances outside our control. The app remains usable offline for score keeping when its cloud features are unavailable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, an adult should agree to these terms on your behalf.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete your cloud account — use Settings → Account → Delete account for that.
These terms are governed by the laws of the publisher's country of establishment, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and are subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
We may update these terms. The date above changes with them, and significant changes will be pointed out in the app where appropriate. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
