Islands Hashi
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Islands Hashi bridges puzzle (“Islands Hashi”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Islands Hashi is published by MJK APPS SRL. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@fluttech.com.
In short:
- You can play offline. Cloud sync and leaderboards only happen if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple.
- We show a banner ad while you play a puzzle (after the first few solves), plus an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to earn hints. Ads are non-personalised by default.
- There is one optional in-app purchase — a bundle of keys.
- We collect pseudonymous usage analytics to understand how the game is used and improve it.
- We never sell your data.
- You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data from inside the app, at any time.
1. Information we process
On your device only
Your puzzle progress, best times, streaks, hint balance, keys and app settings — and the display name you play under — are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you sign in (below).
Account & cloud sync
Islands Hashi uses Firebase Authentication. You can play the whole game without an account. We do not create an account automatically. Cloud features — appearing on the leaderboards and keeping a profile in the cloud — only begin if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple. When you do, we receive your name and email address from that provider. With Apple you may choose “Hide My Email”, in which case we only ever receive a private relay address.
When you are signed in, the following is stored in Cloud Firestore and linked to your account:
- the display name you choose (or one generated for you);
- your number of solved puzzles and your points total;
- your daily-puzzle solve times;
- your standings on the daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards.
Your display name and your scores (solve times and number of puzzles solved) are visible to other players on the public leaderboards.
Usage analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the game is used — for example which screens and features are used, how puzzles are started and completed, and where players run into difficulty — so we can improve the app. These events are tied to a random, app-generated instance identifier, not to your name or email. The analytics data is exported to Google BigQuery, which we use only for our own internal product analysis. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Analytics collection is on by default; you can ask us to stop processing your analytics data by contacting us, or remove all cloud data by deleting your account.
Crash diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes so we can fix bugs. A crash report may include your device model, operating-system version, app version and a technical stack trace. It is used only to diagnose and fix problems, not to identify or track you.
Advertising
Islands Hashi shows a banner ad at the bottom of the screen while you are playing a puzzle (it appears after your first few solves), and an optional rewarded video that you can choose to watch to earn extra hints — you are never required to watch one. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd). To deliver, frequency-cap and measure ads, AdMob may process information about you and your device, including the device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate (coarse) location derived from that IP address, device and operating-system details, and basic information about how you interact with the ads. Some of this processing is considered “tracking” under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
Personalisation. Ads are served non-personalised by default — they are based on general context rather than a profile of you. Where we offer a choice (through Google’s consent form, or Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS), you may opt in to personalised ads; if you do nothing, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. For full details of how Google uses this data, see the Google Ads technologies and Google Privacy Policy.
In-app purchases
Islands Hashi offers a single optional in-app purchase: a bundle of keys used to unlock additional archipelagos. The purchase itself is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your payment-card details. We receive only confirmation that a purchase completed, together with the product purchased and its price, which we record as a usage-analytics event so we can understand the game’s economy.
Sharing the app
When you tap “Share”, the app opens your device’s own share sheet with a short message and a link to the app’s store page. No personal information is included, and the link is sent only to whomever you choose.
2. How we use your information
- To run the game and save your progress.
- To keep your profile and show daily, weekly and all-time leaderboard standings when you sign in.
- To show banner and optional rewarded ads so the app can be offered for free.
- To process the optional in-app key purchase.
- To understand how the game is used and improve it (analytics).
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability.
- To respond to any message you send us.
3. Service providers
We rely on the following providers to run these features:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics and Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd). See Firebase privacy and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in. See the Apple and Google privacy policies.
- Google AdMob — used to serve the in-app banner and rewarded ads. See AdMob privacy & security.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Billing — used to process the optional in-app purchase.
Beyond AdMob’s role in serving ads (described above), we do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal data. We share the limited information described in the “Advertising” section with Google AdMob so it can serve and measure ads. Aside from that, the only information visible to other people is the display name and scores you publish to the leaderboards.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
- Local data is removed when you uninstall the app.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from You → Account → Delete account inside the app. This removes your profile, your points and solved count, your daily-puzzle times and your all-time leaderboard entry. Some entries from earlier daily or weekly periods may persist briefly and then age out automatically. See our account-deletion page for full details.
- You can also request deletion by emailing contact@fluttech.com.
6. Your rights (EU/EEA — GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. The quickest way to erase your data is the in-app Delete account option; otherwise contact us.
Our legal bases for processing are: providing the features you request (account, cloud profile, leaderboards) under contract; our legitimate interest in keeping the app free (non-personalised advertising), diagnosing crashes and analysing usage to improve the game; and your consent for personalised ads and tracking, which you can grant or withdraw where the choice is offered.
7. Children
Islands Hashi is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children below the age of consent in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud data is protected by Firebase security rules so that each account can only write or delete its own records.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
